Fila was started in 1911 by the brothers Fila in the shadow of the Italian Alps. Its original focus was on making fine fabrics in the early century materials capital of Biella, Italy. The brand grew from fabric production into making undergarments and ultimately sportswear. Fila established itself early on as a high-end, high-quality sportswear maker and grew into a very successful global brand.

INTRODUCING WHITE LINE
The Fila White Line collection was the hallmark of the Italian upper echelons by the onset of the mid-70s. This was achieved without advertising, relying always on excellent word of mouth.
The 70’s playboy was a phenomenon and Fila White Line was at the heart and soul of that culture. In an era where “luxury” sports such as tennis, motor racing, yachting and golf gained huge TV audiences, the larger than life personalities (those who could afford to become professional) hit our screens.
